What does it truly mean to follow Christ? Not just to believe in him, but to actually become like him? This message takes us deep into John 13, where we witness one of the most striking moments in all of Scripture: Jesus, knowing full well that he holds all authority in heaven and earth, kneels down and washes the feet of his disciples, including the one who would betray him. That single act redefines everything we think we know about greatness, leadership, and love. We are challenged to recognize the difference between doing things for Christ and actually following him, because it is entirely possible to serve in ministry for years and never truly become like Jesus. The early Christians who ran toward plague-stricken cities when everyone else was fleeing had no grand stages or platforms. They had something far more powerful: lives that looked like Christ. And that example changed an empire. The question this message leaves us with is both simple and deeply convicting: when people encounter us, do they encounter grace?
